Nationals Sign Adam LaRoche To Two-Year Deal

According to Peter Gammons of MLB Network, The Washington Nationals and Adam LaRoche have reached an agreement. The terms of the deal have not been announced yet but, the first baseman will look to get about $8-9 million per year.

The Nationals were pursuing LaRoche and Derrek Lee, but lost out on Lee when he signed with the Baltimore Orioles.

LaRoche has spent time with the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

UPDATE: According to Adam Kilgore, LaRoche will make $15 million in the first two years with an option for a third year at $10 million that can be bought out at $1 million
