isn't the proper question more like:

who do we have that have qualities other teams want so much so that they will trade us the talent they need.

Trading 1B Johnson makes sense for teams that need him. Get a prospect or reliever. It would allow us to put one of the slow big poor OF guys at 1B

Dunn could be traded to an AL team so he could play DH.

I'm not seeing that any of the bullpen have any value for trading.

And of course, replace Manny with YardYoder.

Boswell's current column is "blow up the Nats"

it includes things like:

Blow up the Nats. Or at least spend the rest of this month, before the trading deadline, giving it a try. This misshapen group is no good together, so why not take it apart?

The Nats should keep their eight young starting pitchers, including three at Class AAA. Hang on to Ryan Zimmerman, injured catcher Jesús Flores, perhaps Josh Willingham and probably Adam Dunn. New outfielder Nyjer Morgan looks useful. Beyond that: open for business.
