Nats Dogpile in Walkoff Win

Daniel Murphy put a ball into the left field corner in the tenth inning against deposed Phillies closer Jeanmar Gomez, allowing Bryce Harper to dig his way from first to score the winning run. In typical Bryce fashion, he lost his helmet on his way from third to home, where he was greeted by one-man-dog-pile Jayson Werth.

Jayson was so stricken by walk-off feels, he dove on the sliding Bryce, who was in the middle of calling himself safe. He demonstrated perfect form in a rare exhibition of the sought-after diving hug. 10/10, would watch over and over.

In the meantime, the Nationals greeted the Bobblehead Day Hero on the infield where Max Scherzer bestowed his celebratory kidney punches.

At the end of the broadcast, Daniel is heard seeking out Harper: “Where’s my man Bryce,” he asks, because the love always should always be shared. Seems like the beginning of a Step Brotherly love triangle to me.
