Kolko Player Interviews Delight As Usual

MASN’s Dan Kolko’s interviews in West Palm Beach are probably the performances that can be assigned the most meaning during Spring Training. March 20th’s broadcast was featured player interviews from Sammy Solis, Chris Heisey, and Joe Ross.

Chris Heisey has been the Number One Content Giver this spring, mostly because his son Caden has dazzled fans with post game batting practice, baserunning, and sliding exhibitions, but this segment was pretty good too. Heisey revealed his revolutionary weight loss secrets. He also explained the logic behind his choice to stay with the Nats. For Chris, the real draw was the friends he made along the way.

Joe Ross talked about his new puppy Koda. The new addition to the Ross family is allegedly neither related to Koda Glover nor named for the Nats reliever, but the half-husky half-lab is now my top closer candidate.

MASN didn’t show any pictures of Koda on air, but Joe did share this picture to Instagram in November.

#Koda4Closer.

Sammy Solis seemed excited to recount some of his winter travels and discuss with Kolko how he plans to stay healthy this season. But the best part of the interview came when Kolko asked him about the makeup of the bullpen, and Sammy talked about the plus plus clowns in the ‘pen. Hopefully they never ask Bryce Harper any questions.
